The Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) Girish Chandra Murmu has been re-elected as the external auditor of the World Health Organization (WHO) for four years. His new term will be from to 2027. CAG Girish Chandra Murmu is already holding this post in WHO for four years from 2019 to 2023. He said that the current election on 76 May, 2023 in Geneva Held at the 10th World Health Assembly. Here the CAG of India was re-elected with a huge majority ( out of 76 votes) in the first round of voting itself. The CAG’s appointment reflects its professionalism, high standards, global audit experience and strong national credibility among the international community, the statement said.
