Court Room – Photo: Social Media Expansion Keeping the rules in check, the operators of private hospitals were challenged by filing a public interest litigation in the High Court. The High Court Justice Vivek Aggarwal and Justice PN Singh’s couple bench, while hearing the petition, issued notice to the non-applicants and sought answers. In the petition filed by the petitioner Shailendra Bari, it was said that for the construction of the building of Sanskardhani and Care Hospital Permission has not been taken from Municipal Corporation and TNCP. There is no minimum open space available for parking lot and air etc. around the building. The stifling atmosphere inside the hospital poses a risk of spreading the infection. Apart from this, other rules including fire safety are not being followed. There is also no alternative route available for exiting the vehicle in case of an accident. Alleging in the petition, it has been said that if the building permit and completion certificate is not received from the Municipal Corporation, then the hospital operators By creating fake building license and work completion certificate, they presented it in the Chief Medical and Health Officer’s office and fraudulently obtained the registration of the hospital. It has been demanded in the petition that the investigation of the registration of the private hospital 233 by the CHMO is going on. In the investigation, if the building permission and completion certificate presented by the hospital turns out to be fake, then their registration should be canceled forever. After the hearing, the Jugalpeeth has sought answers by issuing notices to the Principal Secretary and Director, Public Health and Family Welfare Department, Principal Secretary, Urban Administration and Development, Commissioner Municipal Corporation, Chief Medical and Health Officer Jabalpur, Sanskardhani Hospital and Care Hospital Management .
