What is AFSPA law

Assam, Manipur and Nagaland battling extremism and separatism In 1958 in AFSPA law was implemented. With the aim of bringing peace in these states, it was implemented in May 1958. Under this law, unlimited powers have been given to the security forces. Like without permission the security force can investigate any person. Permission to search has been granted. The security forces have been empowered to destroy suspected bases on the basis of suspicion. Apart from this, the security force has been given the right that it can arrest anyone without warrant. There has always been opposition to this law.
