According to the information, the matter pertains to Gram Panchayat Sarangarh of Kotma development block Kotma of Anuppur district. It was told that 17 seven people of the same family had reached the Sitamarhi reservoir of KY river at 6 pm on May for a picnic along with the family. Three of these people died due to drowning. Police said that Shailendra Singh alias Tunan father Umashankar Singh, resident of ward number of Bhalumada police station, had gone to Sitamarhi reservoir for a picnic with his family members. Were. Meanwhile, Shailendra Singh’s elder brother’s daughter started drowning in the water, to save whom Shailendra Singh jumped into the river and drowned himself. Along with this, year old Khushi daughter Balinder Singh and five year old Avni daughter Balinder Singh died due to drowning.

Confirming the news, SDOP Kotma Kirti Baghel said that seven people of the same family had gone to Sitamarhi reservoir of KY river, including four women who are safe. The police is investigating the matter ,
