Manipur Violence: Manipur has the least number of clashes between the state’s majority Meitei community and the Kuki-Zomi tribes 60 People died. However, the party leadership has not yet decided on the matter. It is being told that the central leadership is not at all happy with the developments in the state and the way the Chief Minister is handling it. But the party leadership is not in favor of a sudden reaction to the demand for change.

The chief minister enjoys the support of the Meitei community, which the party leadership is well aware of. According to sources, the recent developments have actually given a new lease of life to Chief Minister Singh as the Meitei community has extended their support to him.
