The Ministry of Defense has approved a new list of 928 components and sub-systems that can only be procured from domestic companies. The ministry said on Sunday that the move is in line with the government's overall objective of promoting 'self-reliance' in defense production. This is the fourth 'Positive Indigenization' List (PIL), which includes 'replacement units', sub-systems and parts used in various military platforms, equipment and weapons.
