The Supreme Court said that any further expansion of the power of the Center would be contrary to the constitutional scheme. Like other states, there is a system of elected government in Delhi, so according to the federal structure, it must have the right to the services. The court said that apart from subjects like public order, police and land, the Delhi government must have control over the services.
