Senior Supreme Court advocate Kapil Sibal was also present in the court to appear on behalf of Tankha. Tankha said in his statement in the court that he had not said anything related to OBC reservation in the Supreme Court. He had advocated in the Supreme Court demanding delimitation and rotation in the case of Panchayat and civic elections in Madhya Pradesh. But when the Supreme Court had banned OBC reservation in elections, the BJP leaders conspired and misrepresented it. CM Shivraj, VD Sharma and Bhupendra Singh gave wrong statements and blamed them for banning OBC reservation. He has committed criminal defamation by tarnishing my image. Actually, the matter is that the decision given by the Supreme Court in the OBC reservation case in Madhya Pradesh Panchayat elections, False rumors were spread. Former Advocate General and Senior Advocate Shashank Shekhar said that the Supreme Court had given a decision regarding reserved seats for OBCs in the three-tier Panchayat elections. After this decision, CM Shivraj Singh, VD Sharma and Bhupendra Singh made objectionable and wrong comments against Vivek Tankha and tried to tarnish his image. Regarding this, Vivek Tankha filed a defamation case against CM Shivraj and others in the District Court, Jabalpur was filed. ,
