Jammu Kashmir: Guchhi mushroom of Jammu and Kashmir, which is one of the most expensive food items in the world, will now have GI Tagging. This will legally protect the unique properties of this mushroom. Also, its misuse by other regions or countries can be prevented. The administration has applied to get GI tag for this very rare and medicinal mushroom. As soon as the GI tag is received, Guchhi will also get special recognition in the world.
