BJP rebel leader Jagadish Shettar today filed his nomination from Hubli-Dharwad Central seat on Congress ticket. In view of the upcoming Karnataka assembly elections, he has filed his nomination. While Congress leader Siddaramaiah filed his nomination from Varuna assembly seat.
Shettar has been a strong leader
Jagdish Shettar is the second biggest leader of BJP who left the party and joined Congress party. He has recently left the BJP and joined the Congress as the party denied him the ticket. Now Jagdish Shettar is facing BJP leader Mahesh Tengikai in Hubli Dharwad Central seat, who has described Shettar as his guru and said that he will give his blessings to him as this war is between Guru-disciple.

Last week, Jagadish Shettar left BJP and joined Congress party. He has left the party because BJP did not give him ticket. Shettar has joined the Congress party in the presence of Kharge and Siddaramaiah. After Shettar joined BJP, Congress is claiming that the vote of Lingayat community is no longer going to BJP.
Jagadish Shettar has been MLA for six times
Jagdish Shettar said in front of the media that he has been an MLA six times. For the seventh time, I should have got the ticket myself. I have been working dedicatedly for the upliftment of the party. I should have been respected in the party, but instead I have been humiliated. I was informed that the party is not giving me ticket. I was treated like I am a child. I have been an MLA not once but six times, I felt humiliated and made up my mind to leave the party.
