BENGALURU : Last date for filing nomination papers for Karnataka Assembly Elections is Thursday 17 on April, 2023 will expire. On Wednesday, senior Karnataka Congress leader and former Chief Minister of the state Siddaramaiah filed his nomination. Along with this, apart from BJP rebel leader Jagadish Shettar, several Congress-BJP leaders including Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai filed their nomination papers.
JDS 13 changed the candidates
The news is that on Wednesday late evening Janata Dal Secular (JDS) in Karnataka 10 On Wednesday for the assembly elections to be held in May Third list of candidates released. Along with this, the party has also announced to support the candidates of other parties including Congress on 7 seats. JDS has won 19 seats out of the two lists announced earlier. But have changed their candidates.

CPI-RPI and Congress Three seats
According to a report in news agency Bhasha, the JDS has fielded candidates from the Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) and the Republican Party of India (RPI). Has announced to support Congress candidate Darshan Dhruvnarayan in three seats each and in Nanjangud. Darshan Dhruvnarayan is the son of Congress working president Dhruvnarayan, who passed away recently. In addition, JDS will support CPI(M) candidates in Gulbarga Rural, Bagepalli and KR Puram and RPI candidates in CV Raman Nagar, Vijayanagar and Mahadevapura.
Tickets to BJP rebels too
Not only this, JDS has also announced to give tickets to the rebel leaders of the ruling BJP. According to the report, Ayanur Manjunath, a senior leader and member of the Legislative Council, who came to JDS from BJP, has been given ticket from Shivamogga. Manjunath had sought a BJP ticket from Shivamogga, for which the ruling party has not yet announced its candidate. Suryakant Nagamarapalli, son of former minister G Nagamarapalli, who has been given ticket from Bidar, is among those who got JDS ticket in place of the candidates announced in the earlier lists. Suryakant recently joined JDS.
