4. Such is the allegation that in the Excise Policy of the Government of Delhi – favors were given to some dealers for granting licenses to liquor merchants, who Allegedly bribed for this. However, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) rejected the allegation. This policy was later withdrawn.

5. A CBI spokesperson said after the FIR was registered on 27 August, 2022 that it was alleged that the amendment in the Excise Policy, the licensees Irregularities including extension of undue benefit, exemption/reduction in license fee, extension of L-1 license without approval etc.

6. Sources have said that after considering several factors, the final role of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, whether as a witness or an accused, will be decided while filing the charge sheet in the case. He said that at present the Chief Minister is expected to answer questions as a witness.
