Rajasthan Viral Disease: Due to an unknown viral disease in Barmer district of Rajasthan 70 more people got sick. The officials informed about this today. He told that in view of this the administration has been alerted. He told that about in Barmer District Hospital People are undergoing treatment and about a dozen have been referred to Jodhpur for treatment. Chief Medical and Health Officer of Barmer, Chandrashekhar Gurjar told that- Approx 74 From 80 People have become ill. Some of them have dengue while, others have viral disease. The blood samples have been sent for medical examination after which something concrete can be said. He told- Our teams are continuously monitoring the situation for the last five-six days. None of the patients is serious and we will control the situation in a day or two. Complaints of fever like dengue and abdominal pain According to the health department, a disease has spread in Tirsingi village of Barmer district where people have complained of dengue-like fever and abdominal pain. Barmer MLA Mevaram Jain also reached the district hospital today to meet the sick patients and take stock of the situation from the health department personnel. Talking to reporters, MLA Jain said - I have given instructions to send a special team to the village to understand the cause of the disease. We are making efforts to control the situation and prevent the spread of the disease.
