Protest against liquor shops has started turning violent and women have started coming out on the streets with stones and sticks. Due to this the law and order of the city is also getting affected. In Mohania area under Ranjhi police station, last day women pelted stones at the liquor shop on the lines of Uma Bharti. . Angry women were raising slogans of Bharat Mata Ki Jai. The women were also carrying sticks. Seeing the attitude of the angry women, the employees of the liquor shop ran away to save their lives. On getting information about the incident, the police force had reached. Regional MLA Ashok Rohani locked the liquor shop and pacified the agitated women. Angry women allege that a liquor shop is located on the way to the school. Due to the liquor shop, it has become difficult for women to leave the road. According to station in-charge Sahdev Sahu, the report has not been filed on behalf of the liquor contractor. Additional Commissioner of Excise Department, Ravindra Manikpur told that earlier the order to remove the said shop was issued by the District Collector.
