According to the police, the accused had raped 30 year old Dalit woman and set her on fire by dousing her with inflammable substance, in which the woman was about percent was scorched. On the other hand, the relatives have refused to accept the dead body and demanding the removal of the Police Station Officer of Pachpadra and Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of Balotra in the case, have demanded compensation of one crore rupees and government job to the family. According to the police the body has been kept in the mortuary of MDH, Jodhpur.
