After this, in June 2013 the CBI arrested Vanzara in the Ishrat Jahan case and brought him back to Sabarmati Jail. At the same time, in September 2014 he was granted bail by the Bombay High Court in the Sohrabuddin case. In February 2013 the special CBI court granted him bail in the Ishrat case. After this Vanzara came out of jail. Subsequently, Vanzara was acquitted of all charges in the 2017 Sohrabuddin Sheikh case. He was also acquitted in the Ishrat Jahan case by the CBI court in May 2019.
