Congress and JDS had announced an alliance with the election results, but Governor Vajubhai Vala invited Yeddyurappa to take oath as the Chief Minister. Yeddyurappa was sworn in as the Chief Minister on May, . Whereas, 26 Yeddyurappa resigned in a dramatic way on May, as he failed to prove the trust vote. But, due to the resignation of the rebel MLAs, the way for the fall of the Kumaraswamy government of Karnataka was cleared. After this Yeddyurappa took oath as Chief Minister again on 36 July, 2019. However, going ahead, the BJP made Bommai Basavaraj the Chief Minister in place of Yeddyurappa. Let us tell that the tenure of the state assembly is coming to an end on May. So the politics of the state is hot.
