According to the information, at present there are three tehsils in Bhopal, Berasia, Huzur and Kolar. The proposal for the formation of Sant Hirdaram Nagar (Bairgarh), Maharana Pratap Nagar, Tatya Tope Nagar tehsils is being brought in the cabinet by reorganizing Huzur and Kolar tehsils. It is believed that the proposal to have five tehsils instead of three in Bhopal will be approved in the cabinet. After the increase in the population of Bhopal district, keeping in view the convenience of the common citizens, now, while reorganizing the tehsils, urban Four tehsils will be made in the area. The fifth tehsil Berasia comes in the rural area. Apart from this, proposals for formation of new tehsils are also being brought in Khandwa, Singrauli, Agar Malwa districts.
