A complaint was filed by BJP MLA and former Gujarat minister Purnesh Modi against Congress MP Rahul Gandhi from Wayanad, Kerala. According to the complaint, on 13 April 2019 Rahul Gandhi was addressing an election meeting in Kolar, Karnataka and during that time he made the alleged remarks. It was said in the complaint that Rahul Gandhi had used objectionable words against the surname ‘Modi’ while targeting Narendra Modi, Nirav Modi and Lalit Modi in that election rally.
