Liquor ban resolution was passed in Damoh. – Photo: Amar Ujala Expansion The villagers of Kondakala village of Damoh district have decided to ban liquor in the village. A resolution has been passed that if anyone violates this and consumes liquor, the process of evicting him from the village will be initiated. The Madhya Pradesh government has closed the courtyards from April 1 in the new excise policy. After this, people themselves are becoming aware about prohibition. Recently, a decision was taken to ban liquor in a village of Gwalior-Chambal division. Villagers have united for liquor ban in Kondakala village of Jabera district of Damoh district. A unanimous resolution was passed in the Gram Sabha that if any person in the village is found drinking alcohol, he will be fined. Sarpanch, secretary and panches have stamped on this. First fine will be charged against those who drink and sell liquor. Even then, if he does not agree, he will be handed over to the police. Even after this, if things don’t work out, tough decisions like boycotting the village will be taken. 23 Percentage of people drink alcohol
23 percent people of Kondakala village are addicted to alcohol. Due to this the women, children and elders of the house are troubled. Bhagwati Manav Kalyan Sangathan District President Dr. Sujan Singh and Kondakala Sarpanch Rachna Jitendra Rai made a proposal together to make the village drug-free. It was passed unanimously. This was supported by all the people of the village and the women expressed happiness. ,
