Maharashtra: Four people died of suffocation inside a British-era drainage chamber in Baramati tehsil of Pune district in Maharashtra today. People died. An official of the Malegaon police station said that cattle dung and urine were left in the chamber located in the farm of Bhanudas Atole, one of the deceased. The officer said- The chamber was full and the victims were cleaning it. Some debris got stuck in the chamber’s motor pump, so a man named Praveen Atole went inside to remove it. But, he fainted due to suffocation. After this Praveen’s father Bhanudas Atole, Prakash Sopan Atole and Babasaheb witnesses entered the chamber one by one and all of them fainted and fell into the water accumulated inside. The police officer said that all four were taken out of the chamber and taken to the hospital, where they were declared brought dead. The inspection of the matter is going on.
