Detail A girl student studying in class VII committed suicide by hanging herself in the hostel of Girls Education Complex under Mohgaon police station of Mandla district. The father had told the girl student on the phone that she would come to pick her up in two hours. When the father did not reach, the student took a suicidal step.

According to the information received from Mohgaon police station in-charge Vijay Singh Thakur, Godasilli village resident year old girl was a class-7 student. . Kanya Shiksha Parisar used to live in Kharrachhapar. The child’s mother had died about seven years ago. His father had remarried. The child lived with her grandparents. The father lived separately with his second wife and two children.

The girl used to stay less in the hostel and more with her grandparents. Last month, the girl stayed in the hostel only for ten days. The girl had gone home after giving the first paper. Just returned a day ago. On returning, the student asked the warden to go home again. When the warden had contacted the family members over the phone, the girl had talked to her uncle. On Saturday morning, the girl got a call from her father. The father had told the girl that he was coming to pick her up in two hours. When the father did not come till about four o’clock in the evening, the girl committed suicide by hanging herself from the window of her room. The girl was alone in the room at the time of the incident. The girl students living together were playing downstairs. When the girl students returned, they informed the warden about the closure of the door. When the warden looked through the window, the girl was swinging in the noose. Police had sent the dead body for postmortem after Panchnama proceedings.
