According to village sarpanch Ved Sisodia, Govind Kumar Banwari was an APSF soldier in Katihar district of Bihar. This was where he was stationed. From here, he had come to Nagaland to conduct elections. He had fallen asleep in the police van on the way back from there. He could not get up afterwards. Other fellow soldiers took him to hospital for treatment. Doctors pronounced him dead. The relatives have been informed. Govind Banwari was posted in the railway. They were quite accommodating. A wave of mourning spread throughout the village on the news of his death. He is survived by his wife and two children. They are all in shock at the news of the sudden passing. Banwari will be laid to rest with full state honors on Tuesday afternoon.
