According to the Omkareshwar police, around 5 pm on Thursday, the devotees were circumambulating the Omkareshwar mountain in a boat. Meanwhile, the boat came in front of the Omkareshwar dam and at the same time water was released from the dam. Due to the strong current, the boat capsized after hitting the rock. The woman Darshana Ben resident Surat and her six-year-old son Naksh were buried under the overturned boat. On coming to know about the accident, nearby people and divers jumped in the river and started rescuing the people. The water was less on the shore, so the passengers sitting in the boat 11 were easily rescued. According to Omkareshwar police station in-charge Balram Singh, Darshana and her son were buried under the overturned boat. His body was filled with water. He was taken from the river to the hospital, but the doctors declared him brought dead. All the passengers are from Gujarat. The bodies of both the mother and son who died in the accident will be taken to Surat in the morning. The police officer is also ascertaining whether the siren was sounded by the dam management while releasing the water from the dam. In case of negligence, a case can be registered against the responsible. ,
