Expansion The Madhya Pradesh High Court had ordered a high-level committee to investigate the allegations of corruption against the then collector of Balaghat district, Deepak Arya. A contempt petition was filed for non-compliance of the High Court order even after a year. A double bench of High Court Chief Justice Ravi Vijay Kumar Malimath and Justice Vishal Mishra, while hearing the contempt petition, has issued a notice to the General Administration Department and the Principal Secretary of the Revenue Department, seeking answers.
Former MLA Kishore Samrite has said in the petition that Deepak Arya, the then collector of Balaghat district, had taken illegal traders of custom milling and rice, Kanha-based resort operators, sand contractors, construction company as bribe. Expensive gifts were taken in the name of self and family members. He had also complained to the Central Government. The Center had directed the state government to investigate the complaint. The state government had handed over the investigation to the Balaghat collector. The then collector Deepak Arya himself investigated the allegations leveled against him and gave himself a clean chit.
Immediately the Collector had complained to the Central Government against his own enquiry. The Central Government had given instructions to the Chief Secretary of the State Government to take action. Due to no action being taken on the complaint of the Chief Secretary, he filed a petition in the High Court. The High Court had said in its order on January 1636378574 that according to the rules, the officer against whom the allegations have been made should be investigated by the senior officer. should be done. While disposing of the petition, the Jugal Peeth had issued orders to constitute a high level committee to investigate the complaint. If the complaint is found to be true, the High Court has also passed orders to take action against the concerned officer as per law and if found wrong, against the petitioner.
