Former Chief Secretary M Gopal Reddy – Photo: Amar Ujala Expansion The Supreme Court has canceled the anticipatory bail of former Chief Secretary of Madhya Pradesh M Gopal Reddy. Now he can be arrested anytime in the money laundering case. In fact, the Supreme Court (SC) has rejected Reddy’s bail plea received from the Telangana High Court saying that the matter of money laundering is serious. The Enforcement Directorate had filed a petition in the Supreme Court regarding the bail granted to the former CS by the Telangana High Court. The Supreme Court canceled the bail plea saying that the money laundering case in the case was serious. In fact, the Telangana High Court had granted pre-arrest bail to Reddy on March 2 2021, after which the Enforcement Directorate Reddy Could not arrest. Now after the Supreme Court rejected the bail plea of the High Court, the possibility of the former CM’s arrest has increased.
What The case is- Madhya Pradesh Economic Offenses Cell (EOW) April had registered an FIR in the e-tender scam case. In this, along with some officials, the agency raided the houses of M/s Mentana, a Hyderabad-based company and Aditya Tripathi, a contractor from Bhopal. He was accused of taking bribe from the officials. The agency had named former Chief Secretary M Gopal Reddy as an accused on the basis of documents and statements received from both of them. Against this, Reddy had taken anticipatory bail from the Telangana High Court to avoid arrest. ,
