Gangagiri Baba, a Naga Saint of Ahmedabad of the Goswami Sect, performed dhuni here. According to the members associated with the temple, Saint Gangagiri Baba had arrived here 250 years ago. Lord Shiva appeared in his dream at night and made his presence felt at this place. The next day, after digging at the appointed place, a brown colored Shivling appeared.
