Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra made an objectionable statement in Parliament last days, which created a lot of uproar. Those words used by Mahua Moitra were expunged from the proceedings of the House after strong protest by BJP MPs. However, BJP members were adamant on Mahua Moitra’s apology. Mahua Moitra did not apologise, but she definitely said that I have not said anything unparliamentary. I will call an apple an apple, not an orange. Apart from this, Mahua also said that the word I used in the Parliament is derived from the Arabic word Haram and as far as I know, that word means one who commits sin. Mahua Moitra used the word Sinner in support of her point.
Update: Mahua Moitra is not the only MP whose statement has created ruckus in Parliament, Even before this, many members have used such words, which have been objected to and have been excluded from the proceedings of the House.
