Know who is Pratima Bhowmik

1. BJP has made Pratima Bhowmick its candidate from Dhanpur seat in Tripura assembly elections. Bhaumik is working as the Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment in the Narendra Modi government at the Centre. He took over as the Union Minister of State in July 2018.

2. Pratima Bhowmik reached the Lok Sabha in the center after winning the Lok Sabha elections in from West constituency of Tripura. He defeated Shankar Prasad of Communist Party of India (Marxist) by 305689 votes.

3. Pratima Bhowmik had earlier reached the assembly by winning two. and he contested from Dhanpur assembly constituency. In which both times he defeated former Chief Minister Manik Sarkar.

4. Pratima Bhowmik is a graduate. She comes from a farmer’s family and leads a very simple life. It is said that she used to do farming before entering politics.
