Maharashtra: Congress leader in Maharashtra Balasaheb Thorat resigned from the post of Legislature Party President today. Party sources gave this information. The development took place a day after a letter written to Congress national president Mallikarjun Kharge regarding alleged rift with Congress state unit chief Nana Patole came to the fore. Patole, however, said he was not aware of any such move by Thorat and claimed he does not speak to “us”. Whereas, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has said that the doors are open for Congress leaders if they want to switch sides.
