Assam Police spokesperson Prashant Bhuiyan said the arrests were made during an operation carried out on Tuesday night based on information received from the Intelligence Bureau and other sources.

Identified people arrested Ashikul Islam, Badruddin, Mizanur Rahman, Baharul Islam and Wahiduzzaman. Among them, Baharul Islam is a resident of Morigaon district and all the rest are residents of Nagaon. According to the police, from the houses of the arrested persons and five absconders 29 mobile phone, 136 SIM cards, a fingerprint scanner, a hi-tech CPU and some documents have been recovered.
